Welcome to Taste of Kathmandu – A Journey of Flavour from the Himalayas to Hythe.


Nestled in the heart of Hythe, Taste of Kathmandu brings the rich culinary traditions of Nepal and India to your table. Our restaurant is a celebration of authentic flavours, time-honoured recipes, and warm hospitality, inspired by the bustling kitchens of Kathmandu and the vibrant spice markets of India.


At Taste of Kathmandu, we pride ourselves on using fresh, locally sourced ingredients blended with traditional herbs and spices imported straight from the foothills of the Himalayas. Our chefs, trained in both Indian and Nepalese cuisine, craft each dish with care – from the fiery curries of North India to the subtly spiced momo dumplings and hearty dal bhat of Nepal.

  • We had such a wonderful experience at this Nepali restaurant! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff made me feel right at home. The food was absolutely amazing—especially the momos, which were some of the best I’ve ever had. Every dish was full of flavor and clearly made with care. I also loved the peshwa naan ..!! it was hearty, comforting, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the authenticity in every bite. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to my friends. A hidden gem!
